Amsterdam
Amsterdam is the main city in The Netherlands. It's located in the middle west side of the country. With more than eight thousand people living there, it's considered the North Venice, because it has some waterways, so with some friends, we decided to go there and visit the city.
When I went to Amsterdam, I was doing an exchange with the school, so we were staying in a town called Gorenlo. We toke a private bus, and after two hours, we finally arrived at nine o'clock in the morning. As we are only staying one day, we decided to leave early. My recommendation is that if you are arriving by plane, try to arrive the soon as possible, and once in the airport, you can take a bus, a shuttle bus, taxis or for 5 euros, there is a train that brings you into the middle of the city.
If you only have one day, the best way to start is taking a boat in the multiple places beside the canals. Most of theme takes about 90 minutes, and it's the best way to see the main sights of the city having a relaxed time. Gary Line, the best Amsterdam's cruise line, offers a tour with a delicious pizza for only 39 Euros.

Taking a walk should be the best idea to go to Anne Frank house museum. The ticket entrance is not very expensive, just 9 Euros, and you can see a lot of Anne's life with pictures, videos, and house recreations, but I should advise you to go with time because I had to wait nearly for an hour. Leaving the museum, I would recommend going directly to the main square, the Dam Square, at only 10 minutes walking. Once there, take some free time to have lunch, walk around the center, and don't forget to visit the "Red Light District" known for having prostitutes in front of a window shop. If you are traveling with friends you don't have to worry about it because there's not really a lot to see, but if you prefer not to bring theme there, it's normal. Yo should have in mind that that zone it sometimes smells Marihuana and there are shops not adequate for infants.
After having a break time to relax, we must continue our visit in Amsterdam because there are a lot of things to visit yet. Walking down via Rokin street, you'll arrive at the famous Flower Market, next to a canal. Tulipans, Sunflowers, Weed.. A lot of different types of seeds and very economic, but if you have to take a plane latter, I don't recommend buying weed seeds because they're very strict in the airport, and you will have problems for sure.
Now, there are two great things to do. If you feel tired, you can search for a bar and drinks something, and of course, you must taste the Stroop waffles before leaving. The other option is going to the Rijksmuseum, but depending on the day or the time it may be closed.
As w only stayed one day, we miss a lot of things, but for sure we'll return one day because I had an amazing time with my friends walking and seeing the sights of this amazing city in the Northeast of Europe!
